Job Description
Conduct Optical Engineering Tasks in support of current and future projects
Essential Functions:
· Carry out optical design activities using ZEMAX and /or equivalent software packages.
· Optical Engineering support from layout and integration phases to final production.
· Optical prototype testing during the development phase.
· Identification and solution of optical vertical disparity, ghosting,spherical aberrations, coma, etc.
· Specification of optical test equipment required for both development and production phases
· Liaison with suppliers of optical components and assemblies
· Design for holographic diffraction, Interferometry, aspheric surfaces and collimated optical systems

Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Sciences or related degree
· Masters in Applied Optics, Desirable
· Experience in Optical Design, Modeling and Analysis
· Proven mastery of optical optimization for complex optical systems which include integrated holograms
· Optical Test and Characterization
· Involvement in the development and/or manufacture of optical systems
· Masters in Applied Optics, Desirable
