Software Development manager for the LeftHand Networks/P4000 group, a business unit within HP Storage.
The P4000 team is growing and we need help moving to the next level. As an expanding team inside HP we have significant opportunities to increase our revenue and market share and with that comes more management demands as well as the pressure to do more faster. As a manager in a high performing group you will have a good balance of technology and management skills. You will have solid experience building storage products where you understand the systems/appliance world as well storage protocols like RAID, iSCSI and Fibre Channel. You'll understand enough of the details to help your team solve complex problems while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
Responsibilities include: ·
Running an 8-10 person team developing Linux based storage software products. You will be involved in the day to day planning and tracking of engineers activities, helping facilitate problem solving in the context of a larger program. You will be responsible for performance reviews, career development and one on one coaching. You'll be a hands on manager who interacts with your team on a daily basis.
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum of 8 years working in technology with at least 4 years experience as a Software Manager
Experience implementing or managing teams working on storage products
Experience with iSCSI and Fibre Channel protocols
Experience with different software methodologies including Agile
Experience with virtualization technology
