Responsibilities:* Ensure the implementation of Risk Identification and Assessment Program (RIAP) for the Americas and its key geographies. Ensure identification, assessment, risk analytics, reporting and communication of business and operational risks to provide value to Local and Global Senior Management and the Board.
* Provide Top Risks dashboard reporting for the countries throughout the Americas, including North America (NA) and Latin America (LAC), with an emphasis on the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
* Will provide assessments for any additional countries deemed necessary by the business.
* Manage the Americas Risk Committee as directed by the Americas Head of Risk Management.
* Supervise the Risk Assessment function in NA and LAC and all Risk Assessment and Analysis of waivers or variances requests
* Support the Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program’s objectives and priorities.
* Provide advisory support on cross-Team Risk related special projects and Risk information analysis
* Lead the implementation of ERM methods and tools at a regional/country/ business unit level for the Americas. Components of the RIAP process include: Top Risk Identification, Assessment, Accountability, Mitigation, KRIs, Dispersion Analysis, and Multi-Year Plan Assessment.
* Work with Americas senior business management and Risk Committee to ensure potential risks are identified when new business initiatives or strategic directions are proposed
* Engage country business units proactively and assist them to identify and manage risks. Provide a portfolio view of risks at geographic level to add value to the business and provide the tools for managing them
* Identify and perform deep dives on specific risks or initiatives as requested by Global and Country senior management
* Coordination with Global ERM for the implementation of policy, methodologies, reporting requirements, and strategies
* Support the Risk Assessment for the Americas (NA & LAC)
* Understand Visa’s Strategy and business objective, identify risks to the achievement of these objectives, and facilitate the development of mitigation initiatives.
* Provide risk management insights and decision support tools and metrics to enable risk-informed decision-making and make recommendations to senior management
The Senior Business Leader – ERM Americas will:
* Report to the Americas Head of Risk in close coordination with the Global Head of ERM
* Interface with senior business management, country managers, functional heads and Global ERM team
* Work cross-functionally with department heads to assess risk and embed risk based culture, tools and metrics into processes and decision making
* Manage ERM direct reports located in North America and LAC
* Bachelor’s degree required
* Master’s degree / MBA preferred
* 15+ years of relevant risk management experience required, with experience in enterprise risk management (ERM), strategic planning, corporate planning, and/or management consulting strongly preferred
* Experience identifying and articulating risks and business issues to senior management
* Knowledge of risks inherent in the payments industry and of appropriate enterprise risk management framework (COSO enterprise risk mgmt framework, such as ISO 31000.
* Demonstrated knowledge of financial planning and impact analysis.
* Excellent project management skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required. Verbal skills in Spanish and Portuguese a plus.
* Knowledge of Visa or the payments industry a plus.
