Software Development Director
Dell Inc. is a global provider of information technology solutions. We are currently looking for a Software Development Director to join our team, in Round Rock, TX. Local Candidates Highly Desired.
Position Overview:
Director level position to lead Dell IT Testing and Test Environment Management Services. Lead a team of Directors and Sr.Managers in designing, developing, and executing test strategies for Dell IT applications.
Position Responsibilities:
•
Lead a global application testing portfolio, with geographically-distributed stakeholders such as business partners, development teams, deployment teams, and support teams
•
Provide functional and technical leadership to test organization
•
Focus on continuous service improvement, customer delight and employee satisfaction
•
Responsible for hiring, staffing, attrition management, performance development, career development, and maintaining a diverse and effective workforce
•
Develop next-generation leaders thru mentoring, coaching and succession planning
•
Drive innovation through the team and cross-segment as applicable
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• 15 years of delivery experience (preferably in test) and 8 years of people leadership experience in a global delivery model
• Prior experience in working and interfacing with executive leadership team
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Sales Operations preferred
• Knowledge of Software Development processes and industry-standard test methodologies
• Strong process adherence with a focus on change management
• Experience working in a global team environment with the ability to influence and drive global, cross-segment initiatives
• Ability to lead in a dynamic, complex, multi-tasking, global environment
• Strong decision-making, detail oriented, presentation, and written & verbal communication skills Education:
