Regional Sales Director - Select Public Accounts - Pacific Southwest Dell - CA, Los Angeles

Description:

Senior people manager responsible for ensuring Dell’s full product and service lines are sold (face-to-face) to new and existing customers in Select Public Accounts.

Scope:
• Drives the sales organization to meet or exceed all performance objectives through the effective management of personnel, field and inside team resources.
• Ensures an outstanding customer experience for account set specifically through helping their sales team provide Enterprise solutions.
• Helps coordinate operations and manage the relationship between inside and field sales personnel.
• Attracts, develops, and retains high-performing Account Executives.
• Responsible for quota setting at the team/individual level.
• Manages field based individual contributors.
• Set focus for outside team and helps sets focus of vertical/businesses.
• Drives focus with cross-business functions.
• Drive business process improvement efforts.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Able to set priorities and keep team focused on the important tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
• Able to build sales forecasts.
• Drive training and development plans for organization.
• Motivate and drive performance.
• Build strong relationships within and external to Dell.
• Executive level presence.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 4 or more years management experience and 6 or more years field sales experience
• Previous experience driving revenue through strategic partners
• In-depth understanding of the Education and/or Local Government markets
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong business acumen and the ability to drive business
• Ability to work and communicate with executive leadership
• Product/solution knowledge in Education or Government preferred
