In System Simulation global team, part of the Powertrain Advanced Engineering department, you will be responsible to carry out system simulation activities and analysis for new technologies and propulsion concepts implemented into different vehicle architectures (Conventional, HEV, PHEV, FEV …) for large US research projects. You will also actively participate to specify and develop specific methods & tools related to system simulation and transport solution that will be applied into different advanced engineering and start cost product projects.
Perform vehicle and propulsion system calculation, simulation and optimization to support early concept investigation and technology development
Analyze and optimize vehicle & propulsion feature like energy cost, efficiency, performance, emission
Develop system models & concepts including high level control strategies
Lead and develop activities in relation with system simulation methodologies
Have a strong involvement in the System Simulation network
Qualifications:
PhD or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
Minimum of seven years related work experience in automotive industry
Knowledge of vehicle, electro-mobility & powertrain technologies
Skills in control systems linked to vehicle motion
Kinematic drivelines knowledge and expertise
Experience in developing models in Matlab /Simulink
Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Systems Engineering
Ability to analyze and optimize energy efficiency and vehicle performance
Ambition to research and to develop new technology with focus on customer needs
Visionary but still pragmatic and business focused mind-set
Ability to work in groups and multicultural environments
Strong interpersonal, leadership, time management, planning, analytical, critical and creative thinking, and problem solving skills
Fluent in English
