As Director, Web Technology at Splunk, you will design and maintain Splunk’s Websites and will be responsible for bringing in and implementing new technologies. You will collaborate with internal IT teams, Marketing Operations team and many others for successful administration of all the marketing web properties. This role will be based at the San Francisco HQ location. This position will report into the Sr. Director, Web and Growth Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Sensitive to effective communication. Consult with marketing on business needs for the development and implementation of web sites and web applications.
Has a strong understanding of Agile delivery methodology and advocates scrum strongly.
Design, develop and maintain enterprise website templates, workflows. Responsible for configuring and administrating the CMS.
Assist in recommending strategies on web platform upgrades and website migrations. Leads all the technical development and maintenance support.
Develop standard processes in architecture, release management, testing, quality assurance and administrative support. Assure all processes are properly documented, accurate and up-to-date.
Recommend and suggest content production strategy for web presence (e.g. content metadata, taxonomy, user data privacy, usage metrics and SEO).
Has an eye for quality, applications, systems and processes. Looks for Automation or other areas to improve the quality of application and delivery.
Requirements:
Play a key role to maintain web applications using Adobe's CMS to include site architecture, custom components, workflow development, object model design (Java APIs), implementation, and unit testing.
Hands-on development experience is required on Java/J2EE, Servlets, JSP, AJAX, XML, JQuery, CSS/CSS3, HTML5, JSON and other web technologies. This person will spend most of the time developing CMS infrastructure, developing modules, web layouts, components and work with the team on system maintenance and development.
Design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex web applications in B2B/enterprise environment.
Translates business requirements into technical details and resolves user-identified functional and technical issues with effective communication.
Hands on experience in build automation, version control and other related technologies (subversion, Git, Maven, Jenkins or similar technologies)
Understanding of responsive web design, adaptive web design and knowledge of current development trends
Good understanding of QA techniques like code review, regression, integration, blackbox testing etc.
