Strategy development and implementation for a buying category

To ensure that commercial and business relationships and engagements with suppliers are handled according to commercial, risk and business best practice and in the interest of adidas Group in Global IT

To take care that the products and services procured in the area of indirect materials and services will meet cost, quality and availability expectations.

To increase visibility and transparency of vendor relationships and GIT Supplier Strategy
Key Accountabilities

Accountable for developing and implementing a buying and vendor strategy for the markets organizations Accountable for creating and implementing a strategy for the highly complex buying categories strategic software license buy and strategic software-as-a-service, under consideration of the special implications for risk and compliance Develop and maintain a project network with all relevant parties within adidas Group to senior management on project updates and gaining support where needed (resources, budget, etc.) to deliver key projects in line with set objective Develop business cases for large-scale projects on global IT Supplier Management and Group Risk & Compliance Management level, ensuring a tangible analysis behind any initiative Set up/define/improve/innovate business processes/policies with defined range in geographic and content scope and complexity Manage team members and give guidance Set up the structure of one team within the given framework Create environment which enables team members to perform Own the contract and vendor compliance process for respective COEs and cross-functional categories in terms of guaranteeing effective and efficient processes Accountable for definition and successful implementation of a preferred supplier strategy process for respective COEs and cross-functional categories Act as single point of contact to our strategic vendors and to CP process for respective COEs and cross-functional categories Leads major projects, supports on RFP projects by providing input
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience

Excellent communication skills in order to negotiate with internal and/or external parties with possible divergent interests and with different business areas Comprehensive business understanding of processes and structure Strong result orientation and pro-activity High degree of stakeholder orientation and appropriate prioritization Significant supplier management and project management skills Broad technical/business knowledge in own functional area with knowledge of other areas Excellent communication skills with capability to interact with team and persons inside and outside the Group Possess a strong set of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience Broad and deep knowledge in own strategic categories, combined with broad knowledge of other categories Ability to improve entire products, processes or systems by using personal experience, feedback and best practices Senior Project management skills Deep Database knowledge Intense legal knowledge
Qualifications

BSc/MSc or comparable professional education, combined business and legal experience Fluent in English, spoken and written Additional good knowledge of German language preferred 10 years of work experience required, thereof ideally 5 years in Vendor Strategy role Senior Project Management Skills
