We are looking for a high-performing sales director. The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Sales director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships, coaching internal sales teams and understanding customer trends. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement sales strategies, new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure sales program's success.
Ensure execution and adoption of sales strategies, processes and tools to increase digital and overall revenue growth and achieve budgeted goals.
Lead the development, refinement and deployment of sales approach, tools and training.
Collaborate with executive management, publishers, digital sales leaders and ad directors to identify and implement new revenue opportunities.
Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events.
Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals appropriately.
Work with publishers and ad directors to establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Assist publishers in recruiting, selecting, orienting and training sales staff.
Develop and hold staff accountable to revenue goals, objectives, KPIs and other metrics by coaching employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Provide management reporting.
Ensure sales team utilizes CRM to track and support sales effort.
Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
Seek out major clients and develop strong relationships with them.
Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
Contribute to team sales effort.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead an organization to achievement of sales targets.
Highly motivated, self-starting individual with initiative and drive to succeed through others.
Successful track record of pushing past rejection and achieving results, and coaching others to do so.
Knowledge of competitive media landscape; use for new business development and sales analysis.
Strong executive presence and polish
Accurate forecasting experience
Strong networking and community involvement skills
Excellent proficiency with a CRM
Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills
A client service oriented mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business preferred; or equivalent work experience in media related business.
10+ years of experience building, leading and motivating a front line sales team; second line management experience a plus
Digital sales experience, preferably one or more digital certifications (i.e. Google certified)
Sales coaching experience
