The director of operations will play a meaningful role in helping teams across the company translate our strategy into results, on behalf of the chief operating officer. To do this, you will be responsible for building and improving systems, processes, and culture that provide the visibility and alignment required to execute effectively. You will be part of a team supporting the chief operating officer, and will collaborate with leaders working across a wide range of disciplines, from product and technology, to marketing and advertising, to data and strategy. You will also work in coordination with the newsroom.
What You’ll Do
Design systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives
Craft communications for our annual strategy and goal-setting process, quarterly town halls, monthly progress updates, and more
Prepare and facilitate effective planning and alignment meetings and processes for senior executives
Support annual and quarterly planning processes for product, marketing, and revenue teams
Identify ways to improve our cross-functional working culture and skills
Who You Are
5 – 10 years of experience working with cross-functional teams at a digital company
Versed in agile, OKRs, and other key elements of product development
Excellent at communicating, both in writing and in person
Effective at prioritizing and problem solving
Effective at collaboration with people from diverse backgrounds, teams, and working styles
Effective at creating the conditions for extraordinary teamwork
Committed to excellence, and to sweating the details
