Drives the University Relations, Diversity and Compliance strategy and execution globally
Design University Relations recruitment programs and initiatives with a focus on building future high potential, diverse talent pipelines.
Build a strong partnership with Talent Management and Global Diversity and Inclusion, HR Ops and Legal to ensure to achieve mutual goals and ensuring Merck is positioned as an attractive and engaging employer for diverse, early talent.
Provide oversight and governance related to the University Relations and Diversity strategy and recruitment program design
Evaluate effectiveness of efforts to ensure University Relations and Diversity strategy is adjusted to better influence and attract entry level and intern/co-op talent
Collaborates with Global Diversity and Inclusion to execute Merck/MSD's global diversity and inclusion strategy through strategic recruiting plans and programs.
Partner with regional leaders to customize programs accordingly.
Develop the recruiting diversity strategy & design of programs, frameworks, tools and initiatives to establish and maintain key relationships to promote Merck/MSD as a key employer of choice amongst targeted demographics.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Advisors, RPOs and line leaders to develop and implement divisional diversity strategy framework for the division
Collaborates and consults with HR and business leaders to implement the diversity programs in alignment with the divisional and global Diversity and Inclusion frameworks.
Identifies, partners, and leverages relationships with key external organizations / key influential leaders to drive business results while simultaneously enhancing the organization's reputation in the area of corporate social responsibility.
Understands current and future compliance landscape and consults with Legal, HR, diversity and HR Operations
Proactively determines the Global Talent Acquisition strategy to address & monitor internal/external requirements
Recommends and helps to implement any updates to address any changes in internal or external regulatory/compliance landscape when necessary
Keeps current policies and processes up to date
Effectively defines and uses metrics to monitor compliance
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree
Required:
Minimum of 12 years of work experience; 5 years experience focused in the areas of University Relations, Diversity and Compliance
Strong business acumen
Excellent communication skills
Ability to influence, consult and collaborate at all levels of the organization
Understanding of metrics and analytics
External labor market and best practice knowledge
Strategic thinking
