The Director T/L, PCE Latin America will be responsible for leading Pfizer’s most important regional (Latin America) and global-focused projects or complex project workstreams. He/she will need to deploy management consulting skills and frameworks, as well as, use biopharmaceutical business knowledge to analyze issues, develop recommendations and implement solutions. Typical projects include developing business strategies, leading an organizational transformation, building new innovative capabilities including new technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, digital, etc.) to address critical business needs and objectives. To be successful, the Director T/L, PCE Latin America will need to be highly proactive, work collaboratively and build relationships with senior leaders and have excellent written and verbal communication. Project teams typically range from 3-10 people.
The Director T/L, PCE Latin America will play a leadership role as a member of the PCE Leadership Council that provides leadership, input and direction for key internal PCE operational initiatives and needs. In addition, as a feeder of talent to the broader organization the Director T/L, PCE Latin America will be active in recruiting and onboarding efforts to identify new talent to join the team. For the PCE organization, the Director T/L, PCE Latin America will develop and deliver short training modules to the PCE organization a shared responsibility of all leaders within PCE. For both direct reports and project teams, the PCE Director Team Lead will mentor, coach and foster the growth and development of our colleagues. The PCE Director Team Lead will have up to 3-5 direct reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA degree or other advanced degree preferred
6+ years consulting experience strongly preferred, preferably at a top management consulting firm
4+ years in-house experience at a pharmaceutical/biopharm/biotech firm, preferred
Demonstrated experience in managing projects teams, programs, or workstreams of varying levels of complexity
Extensive experience with aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and influencing without authority
Strong communications skills – written, oral and active listening – with a gift for framing information in a way that enables decisions
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Able to interact and partner with executives with comfort and ease
Acts independently on self-managed projects
Exercises strong foresight, judgment and decision making
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others in spoken and written English and Spanish
Intermediate understanding of finance
A passion for developing people
Must be fluent in English
