The Director of Security Architecture in the Connectivity Group - (CG) is responsible for setting the technical direction across CG's 3 business units, Intel Ethernet NICs ND, Silicon Photonics SPPD, and Intel Fabrics OPA.
Guidance of product architecture, creation or sourcing of fundamental IP, role model and mentor for team building and knowledge expertise, customer alignment, and executive communication.
CG seeks a candidate with a demonstrated track record of leading security for silicon product architecture in networking devices that include Ethernet IP, network accelerators, SoCs, firmware, and embedded OS.
Knowledge of security practices at the networking level such as ACLs, East-West security, security workloads is very helpful.
Leading security direction as a member CG's CTO staff
Leading a virtual or direct reporting team of architects who drive security on each of CG's products
Championing security best practices in CG's architecture and technical community
Participation in standards bodies and ad-hoc consortia, or industry security group Engaging with customers to develop product security requirements and demonstrate the fitness of CG products.Executive communication on security related topics
Participating in the life-cycle management of security of CG's products
The role requires extensive collaboration with various teams across Intel including within DCG/CG, DCG generally, and the larger technical community at Intel.
Responsibility covers both Connectivity Group products, connectivity in overarching Intel platforms, and influencing long term networking technology direction at the corporate level.
Qualifications
MS PhD preferred in computer science or electrical engineering
5+ years of direct relevant experience in developing security in networking products.
Proven track record of architecting, designing, and delivering leadership security leadership
Recognized as a security expert in all network areas end-point, switch ASIC, switch system, switch software
Demonstrated technical leadership and inter-personal leadership skills
Self-motivated and independent.
Excellent communication skills
Familiar with large, multidisciplinary organizations and proven ability to influence teams
