As the Director, Esports League & Event Operations you will direct the activities of a team of program management, events, operation and support personnel in the creative shaping, stand up, sustainment, and growth of Twitch developed, co-produced or owned & operated leagues and events. Your work will include the direction of both internal and external personnel or companies. You will ensure that performance goals for projects are met within the strategy outlined for several individual businesses or strategic partnerships. You will lead and support new Esports business and competition planning while developing initiatives to support the strategic direction and profitability for an entire portfolio of high profile programs.
Requirements
10 to 15 years of combined experience, inside or outside of esports, in any of the following fields: project or program management, live event operations, broadcast productions, league & competition management or administration, and/or business management
8 years experience in a field where creativity or strategic vision are applied to project outcomes
5 or more of years experience as a manager of teams of personnel
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-informed decision making
Significant P&L responsibility experience
Exceptional ability to project manage, think backwards, and plan for results
Experience working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the company
Possess some knowledge of the esports and gaming industry and or have existing professional relationships with tournament operators, production studios, and game publishers and developers
Strong knowledge of the Twitch platform, as a viewer and broadcaster
Experience with multiple forms of business reporting
Excellent verbal, written, and relationship management skills
Basic software skills: CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote or similar programs
Travel to conferences, tournaments and trade shows (weekends will be required)
