The NA Delivery Supply Planning Director is responsible within North America for managing finished goods product supply including DRP, inventory target setting & distribution, intercompany planning & allocation, and disposition to meet the business sales objectives and corporate service/inventory targets.
Position orchestrates end-to-end Service / Inventory work-process (including reporting and PDCA) across functions, business and sites. Works effectively across the organization, acting as the liaison between the regional Delivery Team and sourcing sites, driving alignment and compliance to the end-to-end Supply Chain Operating Strategy, as well as directing activities related to the supply plan within S&OP (e.g. Supply Reviews) in order to assure targeted customer service levels, and planned working capital utilization objectives are realized (Inventory and SLOB)
Leads continuous improvement on processes and organizational capability with support from Global functions. Ensures best-in-class work processes and tools, ensuring the right organizational capability is in place to achieve and sustain improvements on service, cost and cash
Lead an effective DRP process for the region delivering right inventory/SLOB stockholding and service level, including inventory target setting, and distribution planning.
Drive an effective Intercompany process out of the NA region, ensuring orders is fulfilled as requested. Lead the allocation process and communication with key stakeholders.
While driving the right visibility to the sourcing sites, ensuring the right signal is provided.
Ensure agreed push-pull model is executed as designed.
Orchestrate end-to-end Service / Inventory work-process (including reporting and PDCA) across functions, business and sites. Drive scorecard reviews and ensure the right gap analysis & action planning is in place to correct variances
Lead SLOB action plans and Safety Stock calculations
Create and align the end-to-end Supply Chain Operating Strategy. Drive adoption.
Lead Supply Reviews in line with Global standard. Represent Supply during DMR and S&OP meetings.
Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff ensuring timely and effective performance of all duties and activities. Ensure right capability is in place.
Define standards, operating procedures and policies. Ensure they keep updated and enforced.
Drive implementation of best practices with support from Global functions. Partners with Process Owners to develop effective planning processes.
Requirements:
BS Degree and minimum of 10 years experience in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) Supply Chain Planning at Manager/Director level, with experience managing Planning professionals.
Strong leadership – able to set a vision, engage up, down and across functions, and drive alignment to actions.
Proven ability to analyze and consolidate large volumes of data, develop a fact-based point of view, and communicate it effectively and convincingly.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the confidence to present to senior management .
Ability and confidence to challenge the status quo. Creative problem solving skills.
Demonstrates a strong operational discipline. Keen attention to detail.
Demonstrates a goal oriented, results driven work ethic.
Ability to make decisions fast and effectively, remaining calm under pressure.
SAP manufacturing knowledge or similar MPS/MRP system.
Advanced MS Office including Project and Excel.
