As Director of the OCS strategy, you will oversee the long-term OCS strategy and its enablement via business development via external partners and acquisitions with special focus on new market segments e.g., payers and life science companies.
The Strategy Leader interacts with corporate S&BD team, OCS business leaders and external partners.
The successful candidate will be an energetic and passionate leader, who can collaborate, mentor, and influence a team and a broad group of stakeholders to articulate OCS strategy and enable realization of its full potential.
Business Development – Inorganic
Foster enhanced strategic collaboration, balance resources, run/de-risk integrations.
Divisional BD lead: identify, source, prioritize, and build relationships with new targets
Collaborate with S&BD (‘corporate development’), which will lead transaction execution
Lead overall integration planning and execution, with future/interim GM opportunities
Business Development – Commercial
Design, pilot, and validate new channels beyond currently-served provider segment.
Leadership of strategic partnerships and alliances – strategy, deals, alliance management e.g. international (Ping An), EMR vendor relationships (Epic, Cerner), societies/consortia (NCCN, ASCO)
Partnership strategy/development in non-provider channels to accelerate pilot engagement e.g. engage pharma, payers, labs, etc. for ‘oncology platform’ strategy, starting with 360 opportunities
Begin to build partner development/sales team to support future new channel expansion
Strategic Direction Setting:
Realign mid-term product and commercial plans with rapidly-evolving opportunities.
Enhance understanding of relevant macro-level ecosystem themes and how/where to play e.g. value-based care (VBC) strategy and alignment, adoption of outsourced managed services
Identify/translate market-level opportunities to business cases for OCS strategic direction e.g. positioning/timing around precision medicine (PM), utilization management (UM) opportunities
Competitive intelligence/benchmarking and business model cross-pollination opportunities e.g. competitive landscape tracking, lessons/themes from population health management (PHM)
Pipeline planning and prioritization (product and markets) – build versus buy versus partner
Financial Performance Management
Work with leadership across the OCS business, corporate and divisional finance, and S&BD to establish an integrated approach with broad buy-in to evaluate and make decisions on OCS investments, M&A opportunities, and commercial performance over time. Enhance FP&A.
Organizational position:
Reports to VP, Oncology Continuum Solutions
Manages a team of business analysts, marketers and project-based consultants
Collaborates with product management, engineering, sales, service, global operations, partners and additional supporting functions.

Masters Degree in Computer Science/Information Management Technology or related industry experience. MBA with concentration in marketing is desirable.
10+ years of informatics or healthcare related product or solutions marketing or business development experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requires minimum 35% travel
