Director Business Development EMEA Twitch London

The Business Development team at Twitch is seeking an innovative and entrepreneurial Business Development Director for EMEA. As the first Business Development hire in the region, and reporting to the VP of Business Development (based in San Francisco), you will own and execute on the vision, strategy and day-to-day tactics that we employ to grow our business in the region. You will work primarily with large Game Publishers & Developers as well as potential B2B partners for our new and growing Extensions platform.
We seek an individual that thinks big and is comfortable operating across functional lines to identify and execute on new growth opportunities through product, engineering, legal and marketing. We also look for someone with strong experience in signing large and complex deals and managing C-Level relationships.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and explore strategic partnership opportunities for Twitch, primarily with major (1) Game Developers/Publishers (2) B2B partners for Twitch’s Extensions platform (3) Potential Distribution Partners in the EMEA region
Screen potential deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, financial implications and internal priorities.
Foster and develop C-Level relationships with most strategic business partners in the region.
Oversee execution of each opportunity through close collaboration with internal and external parties
Ensure understanding of all Twitch business units' products and recommend go-to market strategies
Identify local market trends and synthesize observations into actionable execution plans.
Requirements
Top academic background: MBA degree or equivalent experience required
10+ years experience in BD, Corporate Development or Management Consulting
Prior experience in a business development capacity within the media/technology/gaming industry
Worked with large game developers/publishers (in EMEA) - ideally Ubisoft, Wargaming, Riot, Blizzard - across multiple European markets (primarily UK, Germany and France).
Success in structuring large & complex deals and negotiating with C-Level stakeholders.
Highly analytical & strategic thinker with knowledge of online business models (+ passion for gaming).
Worked within a highly entrepreneurial environment (can-do attitude).
Well-organized and able to prioritize among multiple projects with limited supervision.
Ready to travel (50%+)
