Marketing Communications Director Sanmina San Jose

The candidate will work directly with Sanmina’s Senior VP of Marketing to manage and execute Sanmina’s external and internal communications including managing our PR agencies, writing press releases and contributed articles and managing the platforms for internal employee communications. This person will work with Sanmina’s executive management to create and drive all aspects of Sanmina’s messaging internally and through external marketing channels. Sanmina’s brand and message will flow throughout sales communications, advertising, industry analysts, management and employees. Sanmina’s PR, external speaking engagements and employee communications will amplify this messaging to reinforce “what people think of when they hear Sanmina”.
This individual will also spend 30-40 percent of their time on content development and tradeshows associated with Sanmina product divisions. In this role, this individual will also work with digital marketing personnel on web and email content.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Manage Sanmina brand messaging. Create and manage Sanmina’s messaging platforms (e.g. internal, external, by stakeholder, etc.)
2) Builds and manages Sanmina’s industry analysts program
3) Speaking Engagements: Media training and messaging for key business leaders
4) Write press releases (final copy) of the quality consistent with a Fortune 500 company.
5) Write contributed articles, based on content provided by others for trade and business publications.
6) Manage Sanmina’s PR agencies.
7) Script writing for executive presentations.
8) Manage internal (Sanmina) marketing communications (e.g. updates for employees)
9) Assist with Sanmina’s larger events and tradeshows (~ 6 - 8 per year)
10) Create other content, including blog posts, web copy, case studies and white papers.

Job Requirements:

1) 12 - 20 years experience as a writer in a high technology company, with an understanding of high technology terminology and content.
2) Ability to engage directly with “C-Level” Sanmina management for interviews, press releases and content creation.
3) Demonstrated experience writing “final” press releases within a high technology company.
4) Experience managing PR strategy and work with PR agencies.
5) Candidates must submit 4 – 6 links to published articles and press releases, with content related to two or more of the following topics: EMS (electronic manufacturing services); PCB or PCBA technology; manufacturing automation; supply chain management; Industry4.0 and IIoT.
6) Directing the work of free lance writers.
7) Passion for high technology branding and marketing, and effective communications.
8) Bachelors degree in Marketing, Writing or related discipline. A technical degree (e.g. BSEE, BSME) is desirable but not required.
