Director Enterprise Technology Planning Lead Unum Portland

Leadership role for Enterprise IT planning which spans across three business operating affiliate companies (Unum US, Colonial Life and Unum UK), as well corporate, Closed Block, operations services, IRM and information security related priorities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate an annual and rolling agile enterprise planning process with business and IT owners across the multiple portfolios to align planning activities, timelines and processes to support business objectives and outcomes.
Develop and drive an ongoing process for enterprise technology planning and prioritization to ensure appropriate level of focus and transparency for the risk and security aspects the technology portfolio
Define and facilitate a high-level enterprise resource planning process, working across the three business affiliates, corporate areas and shared services, while leveraging agile practices to support on-going enterprise business plans and objectives.
Foster close partnerships across the multiple business areas and IT partners to identify issues requiring resolution/escalation; helping to negotiate and resolve conflicts and manage and sequence the prioritization of trade-offs.
Partner closely with IT Finance team to ensure comprehensive and accurate IT portfolio cost, value and delivery information is available and leveraged through the appropriate Portfolio Management tools.
Develop and implement ongoing action plans to drive employee engagement and adoption of agile planning practices and processes.
Develop and deliver ongoing planning communications to key stakeholders across the enterprise including process, timelines and progress against plans.
Track and monitor on-going performance of overall enterprise IT business plan, including strategic and operational related metrics.
Develop quarterly overall IT plan updates for senior level leadership audiences, as needed.

Job Specifications

Bachelor's degree required
Proven experience in leading IT planning or IT portfolio management
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functionally, achieving results regardless of reporting relationships and organizational barriers
Broad understanding of Agile methodology and principles
Strong critical thinking skills
Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
Highly motivated, self-directed and performance driven
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, demonstrating flexibility and comfort with ambiguity
Ability to work effectively with senior level management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
