Director Central Govt Relations The Coca-Cola Company Beijing

Manages the organization's day-to-day advertising/marketing, media relations, design services etc.; advises top management on development of communications policies, advertising programs and management of public relations issues. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities.
Function Specific Activities:

Liaison with government personnel and state legislators to discuss policy issues and enforcement practices that potentially affect the operation of TCCC business/the beverage sector and lobby for business friendly environment.
In close partnership with Legal and business teams, receive, evaluate and respond to state legislative initiatives and assess their implications in areas such as operational compliance, food safety, workplace safety, import and export, labor issues, environmental issues, etc.
Collaborate with management team and relevant business teams to work out and implement lobbying programs. Involve industry or business association when appropriate to amplify the impact.
Work with legal and other relevant teams on the interpretation and internal communication (including with bottlers) regulatory issues to help ensure full compliance.
Support senior corporate executive visits to China, meetings with government and presence at industry events.
Represent TCCC in both government and industry events.
Liaison with bottlers and secure support or provide support when needed.
Knowledge & Experience:

10-15 years' experience working in government relations
An established network across multiple government departments at national and provincial level, especially with SAIC, CFDA, AQSIQ, SAT, Ministry of Environment Protection, etc.
Extensive understanding of the political/economic, regulatory and legal environment affecting the Coca-Cola business
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with the aim of maximizing the contributions of government relations to support business growth
Outstanding project management and organizational skills
Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding English skills a must.
Extensive experience in government relations/lobbying
Ability to perform well under pressure
