As Product Design Director you’ll define and drive the future of ShareThis products. We’re a small team, and this is a hands on roll: You’re a self-starter, and comfortable taking the lead in lean, agile, cross-functional product development teams. You’ll guide product strategy, and facilitate all aspects of the design process to create scalable, human-centered design solutions that power the entire suite of ShareThis products. You'll also take the time to understand not just the execution side of design, but the business aspects of our products as well.
Own it! You’ll be responsible for the conceptualization, and the design of all ShareThis products and services.
Define, prioritize, schedule, and produce design deliverables for upcoming product releases
Collaborate directly with executives, other directors, and individual contributors on product, engineering, and marketing teams.
Represent the voice of our users through all aspects of the product design life cycle.
Champion empathetic, human-centered design in cross-functional product teams
Conduct user research
Systematically capture and disseminate user feedback
Participate in the QA process
Facilitate user testing
Identify and design solutions that resolve usability/accessibility issues
Hire and manage product design contractors
What You'll Need:
7+ Years as a User Experience, or Product Designer creating web and mobile applications
3+ Years working in cross-functional product teams
Mastery of modern product design and prototyping tools(ie: Sketch, inVision, Origami Studio, Framer etc.)
A passion for design systems
An empathetic, user-first approach to product design
A portfolio of relevant work, containing examples of cross-device user experience and visual design systems.
