Facebook, Inc. is looking for a seasoned leader to lead our Infrastructure Data Science team. We are looking for someone who is not only a talented leader, but who also has strong technical depth and experience. This leader will drive partnerships with business leaders, and establish a roadmap and vision for a growing team of 70+ individuals and managers. This team will be building innovative solutions that enable Facebook to scale our Infrastructure Engineering efforts as we expand globally. The team is spread between the Silicon Valley, Seattle, Boston and soon in London, UK. This leader will drive and own partnerships with internal and external business leaders, and establish a roadmap and vision as the team engages in existing and new areas. There are huge opportunities to expand our toolkit, enrich the strategic signal of our data, work more closely with new areas of infrastructure, and to grow a team that will use these core assets to have a big impact on the business.

Collaborate with and influence leadership so that your team’s work directly impacts infrastructure strategy
Develop new techniques and data that will enable answering previously unanswerable and new questions
Build upon current tools and methods to enhance rigor and expand to new use cases including but not limited to solving constrained optimization problems, strong desire to use, the latest machine learning algorithms and data visualizations.
Develop deep partnerships with engineering and research teams to deliver on major cross-functional measurements, testing, and modeling efforts
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Provide success in partnering teams with dramatically varying backgrounds, from the highly technical to the highly creative
Minimum Qualifications
An advanced degree in a quantitative field - computer science, statistics, operations research, economics, etc.
12+ years of experience in Analytics/Data Science/Data Engineering or Quantitative fields, both as an individual contributor and managing teams
Prior experience designing a data science roadmap, and executing the vision behind it
Experience instilling a culture of ownership, collaboration, and results
Track record of recruiting talent in data engineering, analytics, and data science
A background in delivering analytics products and insights grounded in causal inference
