ICANN is seeking a dynamic finance professional with consolidated budgeting portfolio experience, proven ability to interact with all levels of management, and strong leadership capabilities. This position leads a FP&A team in strategic and special projects and ongoing recurring planning activities and ensures timely presentation of consolidated results, budgets and analysis to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will:

The Director of FP&A will develop and oversee the financial planning models and provide business analytics to senior management so timely financial and strategic decisions can be made. The Director of FP&A will develop analytical tools and processes for the planning and analysis function and will work cross-functionally on various initiatives to maximize efficient reporting while controlling costs. This position has a significant amount of interaction with internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent business advisory and communication and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including creating and maintaining detailed financial models, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending strategies to achieve company financial goals,
Provide leadership and guidance to financial analysts including instructions, direction and feedback for the purpose of achieving team objectives
Manage department, portfolio and consolidated corporate financial reporting with variance analysis (actuals vs. budget and forecast) and explanations that provide business insights on financial performance to internal and external customers and management,
Identify and report risks and opportunities to management and recommend solutions, tactics, and strategies to help achieve organizational financial goals
Provide commentary and visibility into financial performance and key business drivers in order to provide business insights to internal customers and management
Develop and publish operating dashboards (KPIs/balanced scorecard)
Forecast key performance indicators using historical and statistical methods
Perform specialized financial and cost analysis (e.g., cash-flow analysis, “what-if” analysis); and manage related reports (e.g. pro-forma financial statements)
Foster improvements to the internal and external reporting framework by performing ongoing analysis of processes and providing recommended solutions for business process issues
Responsible for coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the budgeting, forecasting and management reporting process
Manage business review presentations, the annual budget presentation and board support documents for internal and external publication
Partner with the Accounting team to review accruals, reclassifications, and other journal entries as part of the monthly close process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial results
Manage/ support ad-hoc reporting needs as requested from internal and external stakeholders
Lead/accelerate major initiatives/projects by exerting constructive influence (directly and indirectly) and leading cross-functional planning/execution teams
Ensure consistent, high-quality & timely delivery of roadmaps and execution for all projects and assignments
Responsible for hiring, onboarding, mentoring, training, performance reviews, and pay actions for assigned staff
Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting coupled with a minimum of 10 years of financial planning and budgeting and finance experience with at least 7 years of comprehensive knowledge of financial budgeting and analysis and reporting experience and with four years of progressively responsible management experience required. An MBA is preferred and a CPA is a plus
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present complex business problems to Senior Management and stakeholders including excellent presentations skills
Track record of simplifying / modernizing Financial Reporting process and systems; including the ability to implement new systems and tools to drive improvements
Prior experience in a global role; familiarity with managing and consolidating domestic and international entities
Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with department managers, executive management and Boards of Directors
Experience in dynamic and high growth companies and/or industries with complex finance and operating environments with experience with exposure to senior levels of management, board, external stakeholders
Finance and Accounting experience, including financial statements reporting, consolidations, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, data analysis, forecasting and budgeting a must
Experience leading and motiving teams and peers is required
Expert knowledge of financial systems (major ERPs) and significant experience with administration of budgeting software
High level of proficiency in reporting databases, Excel (v-lookup, pivots, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint is required.
High level of proficiency in analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Self-motivated team player with strong ability to lead and influence teams
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in an environment of high volume of projects
Ability to follow ICANN and Finance department policies and procedures as well as our operating principles.
