Director Corporate Strategy Flex San Jose

The Strategy Director is based at Flex’s headquarters in San Jose, CA. and will work with senior company executives on strategic initiatives and M&A.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

Work with Senior Management on the identification and prioritization of strategic issues on an on-going basis
Collaborate closely with key business group leaders to support decisions and evaluate potential business opportunities
Take leadership for specific strategic initiatives at the top of the strategic agenda
Apply creative problem-solving skills, communicate insights and synthesize conclusions into recommendations
Mentor and develop junior team members
Typical projects include:

Growth strategy – market assessment and prioritization, new growth ideas/products, business cases, criteria for decision, go-to-market strategy, risks, business planning
Externally facing macro, market, and competitor analysis
Merger and acquisition strategy, capability and gap assessment, target screening and outreach, due-diligence and integration support
Venture and strategic investment evaluation and management
Sales enablement – market assessment and focus areas, priority customers, case studies/sales materials
Organization structure and organizational change – best practice sharing, project management
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

8+ years work experience with 3+ years of work experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm serving TMT clients (1+ years as an engagement manager)
MBA from a top-tier business school with exceptional academic performance
Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and transformation in a corporate setting
End-to-end understanding of the strategy development process and hypothesis-driven problem solving
Advanced quantitative aptitude and problem solving capabilities, ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects
Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, a track record of leadership and extracurricular achievements
Must have the unrestricted right to work in the United States now and in the future
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

Preferred undergraduate educational focus on business, economics, finance or engineering
Industry experience in automotive, cloud computing, IoT, hardware/software/networks, manufacturing, medical or clean-tech
Experience with corporate, sales, operations, M&A and org strategy
Experience managing venture capital, private equity or corporate strategic investments
