The goal of economic research is to hold absolute leadership on the analysis of the Mexican economy and with
that purpose in mind we recently hired a top economist, Mr. Ernesto Revilla. With hindsight the hiring was so
effective that Mr. Revilla has been promoted to head the Latam economic research team from NY. Therefore, we
need to have a replacement, ideally of a similar caliber
reference on Mexican economic issues for the main audiences of eco research: global and local institutional
investors, top corporate clients of Citibanamex, media and local authorities.
· Lead the macroeconomic (output, inflation and monetary policy) analysis within the group
· Create original research for publication on the said topics
· Act as the front person at conveying the said analysis to clients in Mexico and abroad
Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Economics
English in advanced domain
10 years of profesional experience, in any of the, following áreas: financial institutions, central
bank, multilateral organizations, government, academia, think tanks
Good command of software (PC, word, excel, power point, specialized software). Good writing and oral skills in both
Spanish and English. Experience at interacting with people at the highest level and at managing specialized teams.
Advanced macroeconomics, with emphasis on monetary policy, fiscal policy. Robust knowledge of quantitative methods (econometrics, financial and mathematical modelling.
