Director Strategy Synergy Samsung Electronics San Jose

The candidate will lead and support cross-business initiatives, assist in business planning, and support the initiatives of the Strategy & Synergy Office and the President of SSIC. Since this role will act as the key interface between Samsung’s Korea HQ and our US-based team, the ideal candidate should be fluent in both Korean and English, and have extensive knowledge of Samsung’s organization and culture.

What will you be doing?

Lead major strategy and synergy initiatives in support of Samsung’s Chief Strategy Officer and Chairman of the Board for recently-acquired HARMAN
Act as key interface and relationship manager with the overall goal of building and enhancing long-term strategy and relationship between Samsung’s Korea headquarter and our US-based team
Collaborate with integration synergy team members and leadership across various Samsung and HARMAN businesses to enable successful integration of HARMAN and drive synergy plans forward
Monitor and track integration and synergy efforts against milestones and resolve issues proactively
Develop in-depth strategy analyses and communications for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements

Korean language fluency – this is an absolute requirement, as this role will be responsible for communication and coordination with various Samsung businesses in Korea
Deep knowledge of Samsung’s organization and culture; ideally a current or previous employee
Strong academic record from a leading undergraduate institution (MBA preferred)
10 years of work and leadership experience in strategy, integration, business operations, and/or program management roles
Background in managing relationships with leadership and counterparts across global teams
Experience developing business models that address new products and concepts – for both product and service-oriented revenues
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company and support executive decision making
