This leadership position is responsible for leading eBay North America’s Display Operations business, encompassing ad operations, sales operations, and account management. This leader will oversee our partnership with our sales support agency and be responsible for maintaining efficient end to end operations across both teams. This role reports into the Sr. Director, Business Operations and can be located in our Brisbane, CA or San Jose, CA office.

The ideal candidate will contribute to eBay’s overall advertising strategy and be responsible for driving operational excellence throughout the org. Responsibilities:

Oversee the campaign management of display campaigns ensuring that team is analyzing and optimizing in-flight campaigns and tracking performance in accordance with client KPIs

Help to manage and create best practices, standards and guidelines for ad ops team, from insertion order to setting campaigns live and the management of processes in between.

Oversee the Sales Operations function, responsible for management of our Salesforce implementation and detailed pipeline reporting and analysis.

Enable Sales Ops team to design and maintain standard reports and to support ad-hoc BI that enables sales, marketing and leadership team to understand the impact sales team is having on overall business growth

Drive ongoing operational efficiencies through process optimization, automation and business rules to reduce operating costs while protecting revenue and improving speed & efficiency

Develop and provide action driven solutions to our Account Management team, ensure process and communication is efficient, that our sales team is well informed on operations matters, and overall, ensuring campaign performance is meeting client needs

Outlining requirements, ad specs and QA’ing new ad products as needed; working with various internal teams to launch new advertising products

Driving team efficiency to meet SLAs and other key business metrics

Reviewing and updating trafficking documentation for best practices and training to be used by partners and internal resources

Team to be on point for troubleshooting delivery issues, inventory management, understanding delivery priorities, optimization of campaigns, ad products, etc.

Role Requirements

7-10 years of ad operations experience with 10+ years of management experience. Programmatic, Mobile, and end to end campaign management experience a must.

Knowledge of general industry ad serving technologies, including online advertising best practices, advertising measurement, and industry guidelines

Understanding of the online creative development and QA process

Strong analytical/quantitative skills and comfortable working with large sets of data

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, clients, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, results-oriented with strong customer service orientation and excellent attention to detail

Proven team player with ability to work independently

Professional verbal/written communication skills

Experience with programmatic advertising and Data Management Platforms (DMPs) a plus.

BA degree required, advanced degree a plus.
