Fortune 100 information technology company seeks a Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives. In collaboration with a diverse portfolio of internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Director is responsible for the development and execution of corporate strategic initiatives to advance the priorities of the Office of the CEO. Reporting to the Vice President for Global Strategic Initiatives, the successful candidate exercises sound judgment and is able to navigate competing demands for creation of new content, driving existing initiatives, and coordinating the activities of external and internal resources to ensure successful execution of priorities.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of the role to the success of the organization; has a robust understanding of information technology and its impact across a broad spectrum of business and policy priorities; and has demonstrated success in achieving results in support of specific initiatives and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 12 years of experience and demonstrated information technology expertise in public policy, working with, serving and/or influencing government agencies

· Experience with national security policy and demonstrated work with U.S. Government’s inter-agency policy development and coordination process

· Experience managing contract resources and/or direct and indirect reports

· Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to reduce complex technology terms and concepts into readily understandable concepts for senior level policymakers

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including experience with conceptualizing and leading projects independently with minimal supervision

· Experience in staffing senior-level executives

· Degree in technical, engineering or related field

DESIRED SKILLS
· Knowledge of international cyber policy, with a focus on whole-of-government initiatives

· Understanding and experience with public sector - private sector partnerships

· Detail oriented, organized and driven to follow-through and complete tasks

· Ability to interface with external and internal customers in a fast-paced environment

· Fluency in English plus one or more other languages

· Established relationships with key policy makers in one or more key regions

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.
