TuneIn is looking for a passionate Director of Growth to architect and lead TuneIn’s growth strategy and customer acquisition efforts. As part of the Product team, you’ll work closely with Design, Marketing, Business Development and Engineering to create strategies to grow the Premium service on a national and international scale. This means you’ll help drive our acquisition and referral strategies, app store presence and subscription conversion experiences while partnering with the Design team and consumer Product Managers to improve conversion funnels in-app.
In particular, Performance Marketing is central to TuneIn’s global growth plan. You will be responsible for deploying capital efficiently and at scale across all directly measurable channels. You will manage a team of channel managers that will tactically execute the strategic plan you will create, own, and be responsible for. You will report directly into the Product team and identify and define opportunities along the whole conversion funnel, working with internal teams and external partners to drive those initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a deep passion for analytics and can think strategically. They have a proven track record of building teams and growing user bases meaningfully.

Responsibilities
The Director of Growth will be responsible for defining and leading our acquisition strategy. You will develop, recommend and execute user acquisition strategies across a variety of organic and paid channels. You will:

-Manage a team of channel managers and a significant and growing paid marketing budget.
-Oversee all aspects of paid performance marketing channels (SEM, Display, and Social) including Strategy creation, vendor management, campaign execution and analysis.
-Identify tests within each channel, develop framework/ metrics to gauge success, analyze results and deliver insights to Senior leadership
-Identify, test and optimize the best channels to drive low acquisition cost, high LTV customers.
-Educate and mentor channel managers on how to best leverage current technologies and levers within each channel to amplify and refine results.
-Coordinate with Analytics team to develop source of truth for App Installs and Mobile Web flow
-Optimize the downstream funnel including app store optimization, in app conversion funnels and first user experience.
-Obtain agreement on key metrics across channels and think about long term attribution tactics
-Partner with Analytics and Design teams to build technologies to enhance marketing objectives and influence team roadmaps to improve campaign performance
-Investigate new channels to drive Growth
-Work with the Analytics teams to establish strong tracking across all customer interactions.
-Increase the lifetime value of our users through Customer Lifecycle Management using email marketing, push notifications and in app messaging.
-Deliver successful, highly measurable CRM programs pinpointing specific business goals and audiences.
-Support continuous innovation in CRM, including testing methodology, measurement, creative, tools and more.

Required
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, finance, or economics.
-Minimum 7 years of direct response digital marketing with real and consistent results.
-At least 4 years of team management experience.
-Substantial experience working with performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV)
-Strong understanding of tracking and attribution
-Tactical experience working within digital channels (Display, Social, Search, Mobile and Affiliate).
-Highly proficient in Excel.
-Experience and understanding SQL. Comfort in writing complex queries.
-Past experience in highly analytical work, such as investment banking, consulting, finance, economics, etc.
-Experience in/around a startup, growth stage-company or mobile culture - you are agile and able to adapt quickly, operating in a high growth mobile-first business.

Desired Skills
-Experience in growing subscriptions in a freemium business model (designing pricing, paywalls and packaging of high value content offerings).
-An understanding of the nuances of both the demand and supply side of a marketplace.
-Experience working in a global team and collaborating across multiple geographies.
