Senior Director Technology Services Alignment Governance Cox Communications Atlanta

The Technology Services Alignment and Governance lead position will be responsible for driving alignment within Technology and across Boundary Partners in support of processes related to project and program delivery; spanning from initial work entry and estimation, realizing business case long tail implications, and project closure. In addition, this position will also oversee and manage the Technology governance process, workforce management processes, operational support of the project management tool, and the cross-functional Technology Council. This position requires a diverse background in Business and Technology, and the ability to drive consensus, implement change and collaborate in a matrixed organization.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Facilitate the creation and development of standards, methodologies and processes in support of delivery governance for the Technology organization.
Ensure processes are effective, lean, provide value, have controls implemented, and are measurable; and drive maturity and continuous improvement in processes.
Ensure intra-Technology and boundary partner alignment for governance and delivery processes.
Provide strategic leadership and execution of Technology Work Entry processes spanning all areas of Technology and in collaboration with Boundary Partners.
Provide thought leadership and direct the development of and facilitate the Technology governance and framework that supports the various delivery methodologies across the Technology organization.
Facilitate and drive maturity of the cross functional weekly Technology Council to gain maximum effectiveness and efficiency around work entry and governance, cost savings, boundary partner alignment, and any issues that are Technology-wide.
Define and deliver against a maturity model to consolidate and report on all areas of Technology delivery across all Portfolios and Center and Field related delivery.
Create, define, and deliver a Technology Business Review that will provide a view of the overall business value Technology is delivering where the intended audience is the CTO and Technology Sr. Team.
Ensure Technology processes are documented and training is delivered on a regular cadence.
Ensure alignment with the Portfolio Planning and Management Team and the Vendor Operations Team.
Manage the operational support team for HP PPM.
Provide leadership and direction for the Technology Services SharePoint.


Qualifications

Minimum
10+ years of experience in related field (i.e. Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management)
Successfully held a delivery role in a technology or related field (ideally across multiple disciplines) with strategy and planning background required
Experience with delivery processes and governance across SDLC, Agile, and network fulfillment activity
Familiarity with ITIL and eTOM frameworks and implications on process and governance
Prior technology or related field leadership experience required
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively with senior technology executives and business leaders
Seasoned interpersonal and leadership skills required to drive influence
Ability to drive synergies from diverse teams
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence across a large organization
Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Extremely strong executive-level presentation development and presentation delivery skills
Preferred
BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Industrial Engineering or other Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Management, Finance, and Accounting) or MBA
PMP and ITIL Foundation Certifications
Business Process Management (eTOM) certification
Six Sigma Black Belt training
5 or more years of experience in a management role
Experience in telecommunications industry
Experience in commercial network deployment projects
Experience in highly matrixed and geographically diverse organizations
