Senior Director Marketing Concur Bellevue

The Senior Director of Marketing – Americas Small and Midsize Business provides marketing leadership and strategic vision for Demand Generation and Channel marketing for the business unit serving business ranging in size from one to 1000 employees. The ideal candidate is an agile and respected marketing leader who takes pride in establishing and enabling high performance teams that exceed goals with measurable results.
This role is accountable for supporting aggressive revenue growth targets across Small and Midsize Businesses (SMB) while driving awareness of Concur’s market leading suite of on-demand services through Demand Generation and Channel marketing programs. The Sr. Director of Marketing leads a team that focuses on executing the appropriate mix of partner channel and demand generation strategies to deliver the aggressive pipeline targets needed to fuel one of the fastest growing business units for Concur. Key responsibilities include development and refinement of segment-specific and channel demand generation and customer-facing marketing programs, including in-person and digital events and media buying. In partnership with Corporate Marketing and Global Product Marketing, the Sr. Director of Marketing SMN will represent the segment in demand generation strategies for in-person & digital events, online and print advertising, public relations, the corporate website, and social media.

As a member of the SMN Marketing leadership team, the Sr. Director of Marketing contributes to the strategic direction and vision of the business unit participating in key high-level business decisions and collaborating in establishing and executing overall group objectives. This role reports to the Vice President of Marketing – US SMN.

Responsibilities:
• Bring your proven marketing demand generation and channel leadership, acumen and expertise to lead the Small and Midsize Business Marketing team to successfully forecast define strategies and execute data-driven integrated marketing programs that reliably deliver the pipeline needed to achieve both market share and sales goals.
• Implement champion-challenger strategies to maximize the output of the highest performing programs while continually adapting to market and competitive conditions by testing and replacing underperforming campaigns and programs.
• Lead a shared service-style organization that works effectively, cross-functionally and within a matrix organizational structure to partner and collaborate with specialized marketing functions to develop a comprehensive Demand Generation and Channel marketing plan and successfully execute at every stage of the buyers journey from initial awareness through conversion.
• Lead, coach, develop and support the growth of a world-class marketing team that scales, evolves and thrives as the business grows and the market matures.
• Drive targeted marketing initiatives that achieve their forecasted results and can be relied upon by the sales organization to deliver quality pipeline that delivers high conversion rates and revenue goals.
• Infuse marketing vision and expertise based on your prior success leading successful nurture programs, lead scoring initiatives, integrated marketing campaigns, high performance/high results campaigns with record-breaking ROI, revenue or market penetration results with rapid delivery and response times.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
• Proven business thinker with solid strategic skills and capacity to understand the business from a market and P&L perspective.
• Proven track record of driving lead generating activity, which resulted in increased revenue.
• Ability to work cross functionally with peer group of senior and executive leadership in order to achieve goals.
• Background or capabilities in people development, growth, and building a corporate culture through training, objectives and coaching, and corporate compensation planning.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Financial modeling and analytical skills for the development of offers (pricing and margin analysis).
• Effective at coordinating efforts across a diverse organization in the execution of key initiatives.


Position Requirements: Education, Experience & Training Required:

• Minimum of twelve years in a sales/marketing management position with experience in business to business marketing of cloud or high technology products or services.
• Experience delivering solutions in a services model to SMB clients is desired
• Solid CRM, Analytic and marketing automation background (Salesforce.com, Eloqua or Marketo, lead scoring, predictive analytics tools).
• BS/BA in Marketing or equivalent experience; MBA is strongly preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
