Director Salesforce Operational Strategy S&P Global Platts Hightstown

The Director, Salesforce Operational Strategy, will lead all aspects of operations and platform effectiveness from the Platts business perspective of the Salesforce.com Platform and mobile applications. Ensure delivery of innovative, high quality solutions that enable Platts cross functional Operations to accomplish business objectives. This requires the ability to understand development workflow and support applications using Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Communities, SF Mobile, Lightening and the Force.com platform.
Responsibilities include translating business needs into functional requirements with detailed technical design specifications, conduct research, technical analysis, design, development, testing and implementation for Salesforce projects and enhancements based on industry best practices. Manage platform operations to facilitate continuous improvement of the Salesforce.com environment. This role will be responsible for developing operational efficiencies through technical solutions addressed by Business Stakeholders that will impact Franchise Operational Excellence.

Reporting to the Global Head of Customer Excellence, the successful candidate will have a robust understanding of the Salesforce.com platform with strong people leadership skills as well as project management experience. In addition, has solid knowledge, skills and experience with SFDC standard out of the box functionality and creating innovative custom applications on the Force.com platform. This includes experience with using Apex and Visual force in an Agile environment.

The Location: Hightstown, NJ

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in the development of Custom Applications on the Salesforce.com Platform and integration with Enterprise Systems.
Provide project requirements, technical design, integration architecture, solution recommendations, ROM estimates and detailed requirements.
Govern change management process from backlog to production across the development lifecycle. Ensure that all necessary changes are documented, reviewed, tested, approved, deployed and communicated to stakeholders.
Provide technical insight to Platts for Salesforce.com and integration with various Systems (Zuora, SpringCM, Xactly, Qlik, Office 365, ShowPad, Eloqua/Marketo, Survey tool, Web Chat and Telephony systems)
Remain current on new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvement.
Develop a vision for the future state of that landscape
Manage stakeholders and serve as principle point of contact for Senior/Executive leadership
Be the principle interface between Commercial teams and corporate IT as well as with contacts at Salesforce.com

Additional Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise the SFDC Product owner and CRM administrators
Develop a keen and comprehensive understanding of the current CRM landscape
Managing the creation of training materials for cross departmental business use

Required Skills:

Detailed knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds, Communities, SF1 and Lightening
Experience in designing and executing against a long-term Salesforce.com strategy required
Experience with APEX, Visual Force
Experience with Salesforce Integration concepts using Soap or Rest API Web Services to various IT Systems (Salesforce to Salesforce, Adobe, Oracle, SharePoint)
Experience managing relationship Technical staff
Understanding of SQL, SOQL and SOSL queries
Strong understanding of Relational Databases and ETL integration (My SQL, Oracle, Informatica, Salesforce Connector)
Experience using Salesforce.com data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, CRM Fusion)
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
A strong focus and a capacity to collaborate with partners to troubleshoot and optimize processes
Ability to analyze and creatively solve complex business and technical problems
Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Required Experience/Certificates/Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Related Field
Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Application Developer (DEV-401/501), Advanced Salesforce Administrator (ADM-211); Sales Cloud Consultant (ADM-251)
5+ years Salesforce Platform experience
