Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the development of the Canadian Olympic Committee's (COC) multi-year technology roadmap and the implementation and management of systems, Solutions and technology initiatives, according to the Roadmap. The Director will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing and recommending to the senior management team improvements to infrastructure and IT and communications systems.
The Director will also be called upon to shape and foster a team environment that will be characterized by strong collaboration and open communication, productivity and exceptional customer service and Attention to system security and risk management.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES:

Establish vision, strategy and roadmap for long-term technological infrastructure in addition to planning to meet current and future needs and stay current in an ever-changing and demanding marketplace.
Consult with, and work with, COC functional area managers to transform operational requirements into technology solutions to maximize the use of available tools while extending the growth, flexibility and sustainability of the technology architecture.
Direct and manage projects related to the selection, design, configuration, installation, operation, stewardship and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, which consists primarily of operating systems , Networks, telecommunication systems, hardware, software, cloud storage and peripherals.
Establish, measure and communicate key performance indicators related to quality, availability, reliability, cost, value creation and customer satisfaction in key areas of operating systems , Telecommunications, network management and on-site IT support.
Establish and oversee IT governance and processes across the organization to ensure compliance with licenses, compliance requirements, standards and strategies through written documentation and communication oral.
Establish the data management and reporting practices and capacities required to support the provision of business analytics services in support of the organization's planning and management.
Ensure IT risk mitigation and management, including access, data integrity, loss of processing capacity, impact on service levels and business continuity.
Implement and ensure cybersecurity across the organization.
Conduct an assessment of outsourcing to on-site procurement and identify and develop strategic partnerships with IT providers and other organizations as required.
Develop, manage and monitor technology budgets and financial resources for the day-to-day management of the IT function and specific IT projects.
Negotiate and administer agreements with suppliers and service agreements.
Manage and develop a highly performing team, including organizational structure, manpower plan, hiring, performance management, coaching and conflict resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent professional training and experience.
More than 10 years experience in IT Operations Management, System Implementation, Infrastructure Architecture, and Security / Cybersecurity / Systems Compliance.
Experience in developing technology strategies, roadmaps and governance structures and processes.
Experience in managing heterogeneous technology teams, including development, infrastructure, support and operations teams.
Technical experience in the implementation of commercial IT systems and infrastructure, including cloud-based solutions, Windows, Linux, PaloAlto, SIP / MPLS connections.
Knowledge and experience in a wide range of cybersecurity technologies: CASB, TRAPS, 2- Factor Authentication, SIEM.
Cloud storage experience (AWS / Google Docs) and infrastructure as a preferred service.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills and proven experience in solving technical problems and mentoring teams through systematic, timely troubleshooting.
Strong client relationship management skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, facilitation and presentation skills - ability to speak fluently to members of management and senior management.
Ability to collaborate and effectively lead cross-functional teams and key stakeholders and build consensus.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Excellent financial and budget planning skills and resource management skills.
Project management at the level of the various functions and the organization in general, with the capacity to face very stressful situations while managing many projects at the same time.
