Manage and monitor the close process ensuring quality financial statements and reports are delivered on time and in full.
Interact effectively with accounting staff to highlight issues and proactively find solutions
Prepare, review, and approve balance sheet account reconciliations, consistently identifying potential issues and correcting them before period end.
Supervise accountants who perform accounting functions, including preparation of schedules for the month end / quarter end reporting package, and provide them with appropriate level of review, feedback and support.
Manage general accounting, accounts payable and payroll, driving professional excellence.
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures / policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Support Annual and Quarterly audit processes.
Participate in and/or lead the process improvement efforts. Streamline processes to effectively report financial results
Foster an environment of continuous improvement to identify, develop and implement process changes to increase efficiency
Requirements
Experienced accountant with a strong general accounting background
8+ years of relevant experience, including an established record of success in progressively more responsible supervisory/managerial positions.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, required.
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required, CPA required.
