The Digital Payments group leverages MasterCard’s assets and strategic partnerships to create a world beyond plastic with valued experiences for consumers and end users, and enable merchants to reach new consumers in ways not possible in the pre-digital world.
The Channels team engages with key stakeholders in the digital space including device manufacturers, operating system providers and wallet service providers to deliver secure, relevant and valued commerce and everyday purchase experiences for consumers and end users across all channels and connected devices. We work with banks, merchants and digital participants to build a valued ecosystem.

The candidate will create and manage mutually beneficial partnerships with strategic clients. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a proven track record of global business development in a digital space and possess a skillset that supports strategic opportunity identification and evaluation, establishing and executing partnerships & alliances, and managing & tracking performance.

Role
• Manage global account relationship and digital payments business development initiatives with key Device Manufacturer partners in a way that drives significant value for all parties and differentiates MasterCard in the eyes of its partners

• Identify new business opportunities through lead generation, solutioning and identifying business and product requirements
• Build a joint vision and roadmap and establish C-Suite and day-to-day strategic relationships to support this journey and address MasterCard and partner key objectives
• Coordinate strategic and tactical efforts and planning to facilitate execution of key priorities globally; partner with both product teams and regional market development teams
• Manage product development and deployment opportunities with channel partner, facilitating, prioritizing and informing business and product requirements internally to leverage the scale and reach of their products and platforms to enable the use (and acceptance) of MasterCard digital consumer products
• Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis
• Establish contractual cooperation agreements to further our goals and ensure partner compliance with agreements.
• Drive adoption and compliance of MA (Operational/Rules-based) programs among assigned client
• Serve as ‘ambassador’ for clients within MasterCard’s product and sales organizations; socialize vision and strategy with key stakeholders and develop insights that will drive business

All About You
• Proven track record of driving tangible business development results in an digital space
• Self-starter with strong background in payments and connected devices/technologies
• Results focused relationship management skills: effectively and provocatively builds business partnerships with customers; builds consensus with others to gain cooperation; develops and leverages key relationships; understands the diverse needs and objectives of various stakeholders; strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Sound business judgment with established strategic/conceptual thinking and strategic planning skills
• Good project management and organizational skills, with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• First-rated presentation and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree a plus
• Fluency in English required, additional language(s) a plus
• Global nature of role may require significant travel
