At BlackRock, we are building a world class HR team. Our HR Business Partners lead the delivery of all HR services to internal client groups to drive outstanding performance. HR BP’s are ultimately accountable for HR’s delivery to the Client. We partner on the formulation and execution of the business’ talent strategy at the business level and knit together business and Firm priorities. HR BP’s integrate the talent agenda with key Firm processes (e.g., Business Reviews, budgeting, prioritizing). We serve as first point of contact for the business on all strategic and major people issues, and leverage a seat at the table to create opportunities for the Client Team.
This successful candidate will assist in supporting business groups, partnering with senior BP’s, HR Consulting and business leaders. Regular travel to our Princeton office is required.
Partner with senior leaders to define and execute their business and talent agenda balancing the need to align with the Firm’s Talent Agenda and meet business specific priorities
Partner with the business on all key talent decisions, providing advice and expertise, tailored for specific business needs.
Provide expert counsel and coaching to senior leaders in their roles and with their own personal development.
Support the business with organizational change and development as necessary, influencing leaders to address complex organizational design issues where required for business success
Understand and take a leadership role in the application of the Firm’s reward philosophy and processes through proactive consultation with the client and partnership with the compensation team to drive a meritocracy
Leverage the wider HR function and specifically partner with HR Consulting, ER, and the HR Client Team to execute business priorities and solutions
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 6-8 years HR experience in a global, matrixed, fast paced environment, preferably as a Relationship Manager / Business Partner
Experience within Asset Management and/or supporting Financial Services desirable
Demonstrated expertise and experience serving in a consultative capacity to senior business leaders, shaping organizational strategy, goals and alignment
Experience working across the various HR disciplines including compensation, recruiting and talent management
Ability to execute firm-wide talent initiatives with excellence in a fast paced, global corporate environment; commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
Demonstrated expertise building consensus on a cross-functional basis
Experience analyzing and presenting findings and reports back to the business
Experience managing a variety of employee relations issues across geographies
BA/BS degree; certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise preferred
Proficiency with windows applications required
