Director New Business Integration Flex San Jose

The Director, New Business Integration will be based in San Jose, CA or Austin, TX and will report to the VP of Corporate Development. This role will be responsible for operational planning and execution of key business integration initiatives. This may include certain activities related to due diligence of M&A or investment targets, planning and execution of business operations and organization activities. Initial focus will be applied to integration across the Flex Energy Solutions business where a number of recently acquired and recently launched businesses require cross-functional and cross-business leadership to implement certain integration initiatives.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Develop and deliver against business integration plans that create and exploit synergies across various business verticals and horizontal functions within specific businesses
When M&A opportunities are identified, take a leadership role in project managing operational due diligence activities. This will inform and support development of integration plans that you will then lead where M&A deals are completed
Activities will require applying a blend of strategic planning, tactical execution, leadership and project management skills while leveraging deep business operations experience and knowledge base
Provide leadership in various cross-functional, matrix reporting, team structures
Create and drive teams to on specific project action plans
Apply Project Management Principles to Implement Flex Best Practices in M&A integration
Responsible for the creation and delivery of a disciplined integration strategy, process and execution plan
Operationalization of new business within Flex
Utilize astute emotional and cultural intelligence to identify the emotional and cultural issues involved, handle them effectively, and coach others deal with them constructively
Ensure Flex values and culture are part of work life
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
10+ years relevant experience in General Management, Program Management and/or deep domain expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering, Product Development, Product Management, Program Management or HR Organizational Change
5+ years of Project Management experience
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Engineering, Computer Science or other technical discipline
Deep Program Management body of knowledge
Demonstrate strong planning and time management skills
Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change
Demonstrate the ability to successfully influence senior management, executives and key clients while building strong, functional relationships that help deliver required outcomes
Professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills
