Director Data Analytics Campaign Monitor San Francisco

We are looking for an experienced data leader to help us unlock the potential of our dataset and transform our analytics capabilities. You will be responsible for building and leading a data analytics team to inform the overall strategy as well as establish the foundation our data model. You will own our growing data warehouse and conduct deep dives to better understand our customers, how they engage with our website and products, and how we can optimize those experiences for the business. You will also build the platforms and culture to drive self-serve analysis and data-driven decision-making throughout the company.
There are 3 key areas of focus:

Leadership

Define and execute Campaign Monitor’s long-term data strategy as well as short-term priorities to deliver immediate value
Build and develop a team of data nerds who are excited about solving the company’s biggest data challenges
Foster a data culture through data fluency and self-service analytics to enable key decision makers to reach important insights independently
Data Warehouse & Governance

Design, implement, and manage all of the tools and processes necessary to enable data-informed decision-making across the organization
Ensure that the data warehouse has all the data required to measure the business and that it scales with our growth
Drive processes and standards to maintain a highly reliable and accurate data warehouse, reporting, and ETL
Data Science & Analysis

Uncover actionable insights about our business through complex data analysis and communicate those insights effectively to functional leaders
Define and maintain data integrity through standardized business KPIs and establish standards for setting up and running experiments
Drive creation of KPI predictive models for each business function to provide better feedback and understanding of business drivers
What does a strong candidate look like?

B.S. in computer science, statistics, mathematics or similar technical degree
7-10+ years of experience in data analyst, data scientist, or other quantitative roles
3+ years of experience in leading and managing high-performing teams
Detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL and reporting/analytic tools
Experience using cloud storage and computing technologies such as AWS RedShift, RDS etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; polished presenter to executive audiences
Advanced SQL and Excel skills
