The primary goal of the US Rare Diseases Diagnosis Account Manager is on generating and implementing a systematic approach to patient diagnosis, for misdiagnosed and under diagnosed patients; for whom Sanofi Genzyme has an approved therapy. They will propose, recommend, and assist in implementing disease specific diagnostic approaches. Additional responsibilities of this role will include specific strategic and tactical development, training other internal team members on specific content, and working on developing opportunities. This role will report to the Director, Diagnostic Strategy.
· Identify, prioritize, plan and execute systematic testing both retrospectively and prospectively within local, regional and national healthcare systems on the West Coast
· Partner with appropriate cross functional team members to create a regionally focused plan to identify patients
· Meet yearly patient identification goals
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
· Minimum 8 years relevant experience
Preferred
· Efficient and effective time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally
· Experience in IT implementation and project management specific to healthcare
· Previous sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is a plus
· Thorough knowledge of electronic records landscape and hospital business operations
Proven success in navigating the C-suite of large US based medical centers
· Understands major trends in healthcare and familiar with point of care products and health informatics trends and tools
· Demonstrated knowledge of vocabulary standards and applications used by clinicians and technologists relative to electronic health records
Ability to travel ~80 % as this position will cover a large geography
