The Microsoft Financing team is looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about building a strong partnership with our product & services groups and our sales teams across the world with a special focus on developing strategy for MSF to support the growth and success of our Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) and other channel partners. In summary, you will manage stakeholder relationships (field, product teams, UST) and take a strategic forward-looking view of Microsoft business; understand business needs and think of creative monetization/financing structures to support stakeholders and help incubate new solutions. You will be responsible for these functions in the Americas.
Key responsibilities:
• Analyze trends across the marketplace, the impact of competition and shifts in customer needs. Develop strategies capable of managing the threats and opportunities that such developments represent. Ensure the leadership team is fully informed regarding the implications of such research and monitoring
• Influence strategic and policy decision making at senior levels within key MSFT groups: C&E, UST, WW Segments, and Product Groups. Develop partnerships and help design strategic path forward for MSF to drive highest impact for these partners and Microsoft
• Be the voice of the customer and drive new requirements to increase team productivity, scale transaction capacity and generate business insights
• Leverage qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques to apply analytical frameworks and strategic business models to support business decisions
• Interpret and share licensing transformation updates/distribution model changes within the WW Segments; evolve long-term strategy as changes are introduced
• Drive structuring of new financing solutions to support business needs to support MS via monetization models
• Relationship mapping across C&E, UST, and Product Groups. Identify key stakeholders, business challenges, and opportunities to drive high impact for Microsoft

• Deep understanding of financial statements and experience with order to cash process is a critical
• Experience with channel partners and managing international teams is required
• The ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in Microsoft and engage broadly with key stakeholders to frame, structure and prioritize business problems where technology based solutions can have a big impact
• Knowledge of Microsoft entity structure and intercompany flows is a big plus
• Strong leadership skills – ability to set vision and direction and bring together diverse teams to drive business impact
• Ability to influence and hold others accountable and be open to diverse ideas and ability to drive towards best results
• Strong project management skills
• Significant experience managing and influencing global team and partners
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to function well in high stress environment with multiple competing deliverable with tight timelines
• Strong capability and comfort in working as part of a team; less focus on I and more on we
• Ability to work across various levels in the organization – from mentoring and developing junior talent to comfort in presenting to CVPs
Other qualifications:
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance with a strong background in leading strategic cross-functional initiatives
• Requires MBA or equivalent degree focus(major) on finance, economics &/or accounting
• Prior Treasury, Corp Development experience is a big plus
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Legal, Finance, Tax and Treasury in order to launch new solutions across different regions
• Motivated self-starter that can clearly identify and articulate business and customer values thru technology
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to achieve results, strategic thinking and alignment and ability to act as an evangelist and catalyst to drive MSF solutions
• A strong influencer who can look beyond the obvious to come up with requirements that will lead to increased productivity, new insights and value propositions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
