Google Cloud is looking for an innovative leader for our America’s marketing strategy and operations. Based in Mountain View, the Director of Field Marketing will be a senior marketer driving Google Cloud awareness, new business acquisition, customer development and user community programs.
You will be a passionate and results-driven individual with strong experience in a software, cloud or other high-tech cloud B2B organization. This role will involve driving Google Cloud into the America’s Market, developing customer use case stories, building a large, loyal and engaged customer base and actively working with a direct sales team on scalable enterprise and start-up marketing programs across multiple segments and channels.
This is a hands-on leadership role and you will have a proven track record of overachieving marketing objectives and able to establish credibility with the local America’s sales team and regional marketing colleagues through your market knowledge, industry experience and strong written and verbal communication skills and leadership and vision.
Develop, socialize and get buy-in of the Americas marketing strategy and programs, working closely with global marketing and Americas sales leadership teams while representing the local voice of the customer in the process
Strategize, execute, rollout & optimize new customer acquisition campaigns and programs aligned to horizontal and vertical solutions including Google Cloud Next events, outbound campaigns, external trade shows and customer stories
Optimize campaigns to drive customer retention, upsell and cross sell, product engagement, and retention including customer conferences, seminars, education and engagement tactics
Grow awareness, familiarity and perception for Google Cloud in Americas amongst locally based analyst, influencers CxO Executives and other influencer individuals and organizations. Work closely with the sales teams and Demand Management team to drive opportunity.
Enable partners to scale coverage for Google Cloud Services and build community programs to build deep loyalty with end users and evangelists. Attract and recruit marketers enabling market momentum and demand.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of relevant B2B marketing or field marketing experience in Americas (Canada, NA, LATAM)
Experience with enterprise software purchase cycles in Americas enterprise, cloud based subscription market and experience working with IT Partnerships.
Experience using marketing automation systems including Marketo and Salesforce.com and ability to engage with Demand Management for Pipeline processing and progression.
Preferred qualifications:
Computer Science or development experience; comfortable talking about technical things with technical people and able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences)
Conversational knowledge of platforms like Python, PHP, .NET, Java and Cloud technologies like AWS and Windows Azure
Strong leadership skills and project management skills and experience, including managing external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects
Experience planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programs including budget management
Strong communication skills in both business and technical situations
