As the Director of Google Cloud Customer Team’s (GCCT) Deal Operations group, you will be responsible for building a key shared service centre within one of Google’s fastest growing businesses. Working closely with the leadership team, you will be responsible for day-to-day excellence and for driving continuous improvements in how we conduct business. You will lead our Order Management/Product Fulfillment group and our Global Deal Assistance teams to support key products (including G Suite, Maps for Work, Android for Work, Chrome for Work, and Google’s Cloud Platform). The role will directly impact the growth trajectory of one of the largest and fastest growing Cloud/Device businesses in the industry.
You will demonstrate steady career progression with increasing scope of responsibility, superior business acumen and proven background in business transformation, outsourcing and vendor management, as well as, building sales support organizations. Google is looking for a dynamic leader who is not afraid to be “hands-on” while understanding the bigger picture. You will be strong on data and will be able to demonstrate an affinity with the service and product space that Google owns. You’ll balance strategic vision, thought leadership, followership, execution excellence, continuous improvement and providing an exceptional experience to Googlers. Most importantly, you should be able to inspire and grow a remarkable team.

Principal clients of Deal Operations include the business leaders and their sales teams, as well as cross-functional Google groups such as finance and compliance. Your key priority will be to establish followership among this group in the first 12 months. Other priorities will include meeting increasing demand by scaling the organization for growth while maintaining high performance and delivery standards. To do this will require deep business partnerships and trusted relationships with senior decision-makers. Leveraging your proven ability to activate and scale programs, superb communications skills and thought leadership to ensure high levels of productive client engagement across teams. You will partner closely with GCCT sales leaders across all markets, and be seen as a collaborative thought partner in building Google’s business with these key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Provide vision and leadership for the Deal Operations team. Manage, mentor, and grow a team passionate Googlers. Solve business strategy problems, improve organizational efficiencies, build scalable business processes and infrastructure.
Be the leader of GCCT’s Order Management and Product Fulfillment for all products through both multi-tier outsourced vendors and internal escalation teams.
Engage in larger cross-functional programs e.g. around process improvement, efficiency improvements, systems integration, or data quality enhancements. Act as an influencer, integrator and coach for the global teams and serve as a point-of-escalation for problems within our Operations organization and work with relevant parties to reach resolution.
Drive identification, assessment, and execution of ongoing process improvement and reengineering opportunities. Drive continuous improvement in sales rep and partner experience of our systems, tools, and processes in partnership with senior leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in a technical or quantitative/business-oriented field or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, technology business operations or equivalent senior leadership experience in a technology company.

Preferred qualifications:
MA/MS degree from a business school, or from a computer science or engineering program.
Strong internal client-facing skills with excellent communication, negotiation and conflict management skills. Experience with socializing and presenting analysis, proposals and strategies to organizational leaders with a demonstrated affinity for metrics.
Proven ability to develop and continuously refine strategy and roadmap for a global shared service organization, including sales support, process reengineering and outsourcing. Thorough understanding and affinity to technology and experience with implementation of process automation.
Proven track record of enabling multi-million dollar agreements and strategic long-lasting, trusted vendor relationships. Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives or business transformation projects while managing and developing other individuals.
Ability to use benchmarks and performance metrics to track progress, while maintaining constant focus on business impact. Knowledge of enterprise cloud technology landscape.
Ability to select, attract, motivate, retain, and develop leaders and team members. Ability to accurately appraise the strengths and weaknesses of team members and build a strong, diverse team that complements each other to achieve outstanding results.
