Join the team of attorneys and paralegals who provide legal counsel to the product teams at Adobe responsible for developing and marketing some of Adobe's most well-known products and online services, including the Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe is seeking a talented and energetic lawyer to support the Creative Cloud go to market and e-commerce teams. This position will work closely with product development, engineering, business strategy and marketing teams, as well as subject matter experts in Legal to provide counseling on a wide range of legal topics and to advance their business objectives while managing legal risk to Adobe. This full-time position will report to the Associate General Counsel.
· Apply a practical and well balanced perspective to legal issues that arise when marketing, selling, and distributing products and services
· Advise on compliance with US and international laws and regulations dealing with consumer protection, e-commerce, marketing, privacy and security
· Develop guidelines on machine learning related to proper stewardship of client content and data
· Coordinate with subject matter experts in Adobe Legal, including copyright, privacy, antitrust and licensing attorneys to analyze legal risks
· Support and build positive relationships with Adobe’s product development teams and advise multiple levels of management on legal issues
Requirements
· Candidate must have 8+ years of relevant legal experience, with online services industry experience
· Significant experience supporting online services, global e-commerce, marketing, and consumer protection matters
· Proficient at negotiating and drafting all types of intellectual property agreements including in-bound technology licenses, out-bound technology licenses (such as mobile app EULAs), SaaS agreements and terms of use for online services
· Knowledge of global consumer protection laws is a plus
· Strong leadership abilities capable of succinctly framing complex legal issues and communicating with multiple levels of management
· CIPP certification strongly preferred
· Candidate must possess a sense of humor and enjoy working on a team and with people at all levels in the organization
· Commitment to providing clients with high quality and timely legal advice in a fast-paced work environment
· Must be able to exercise common sense to provide both practical and theoretical advice; must be a creative problem solver and have good business instincts
