Reporting to an SVP of Finance, the Director, Finance is responsible for leading the analytical, operational, and people management functions of the department. This will be accomplished through the management of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis functions including administrative and approval functions integral to supporting the business operations of the US Latin label. Incumbent will function as an ambassador interfacing with other business units such as marketing, and revenue areas. This position also includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Planning, review and assistance with preparation of monthly financial statements and forecast submissions, including required analysis and estimates for forecasting models to meet corporate deadlines/timelines.
• Planning, review and assistance with timely preparation of quarterly review and year-end audit packages for external auditors and internal corporate reporting requirements including any follow-up issues and analysis.
• Planning, review and assistance with preparation of the annual business plan, including analysis of royalty cost of sales estimates, and responsibility for all relevant revenue, cost of sales, marketing and overhead financial models, including methodology selection and analysis.
• Review and analysis of monthly P&L and balance sheet packages and overhead reporting versus annual business plan.
• Review and assistance with preparation of monthly reporting packages for senior management.
• Ability to develop queries to retrieve financial data from various financial systems.
• Review and analysis of monthly financial results including, but not limited to: researching general ledger activity, analyzing account balances and transaction detail, balance sheet analysis, corporate reporting, review of monthly marketing and talent spend by department, sales returns and inventory provisions, etc.
• Review and analysis of sales, marketing, talent and overhead in connection with periodic senior management business review meetings.
• Review and analysis of travel and entertainment and other overhead reporting, overseeing compliance with Company policies and business plan.
• Ad hoc special projects and analyses for label and senior management, including Power Point presentations of financial results, forecast and plan data.
• Responsibility for department approvals of T&E expense reports, T&E card requests, travel itineraries, new vendors, temporary hires, various advances, invoice approvals, office supply purchases, etc.
• Assistance with personnel planning for annual business plan and monthly analysis of headcount and personnel changes.
• Review and assistance with cash flow forecasting.
• Responsibility for managing/supervising junior finance staff.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance or Accounting.
• Ideal candidate may be a CPA or working toward certification.
• Minimum 5-7 years of business experience in accounting or financial analysis role (entertainment / music industry experience a plus, with an interest in music being ideal).
• Working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion business software considered a plus.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to consolidate, analyze and summarize large amounts of data down to a management reporting level.
• Excellent presentation skills, with an ability to present the data to management, including speaking to the trends and major drivers of the activity.
• Well organized, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks.
• Must demonstrate strong initiative.
• Ability to proactively and productively work in team settings, including being receptive, open minded and objective when encountering diverse points of view.
