Senior Director Enterprise Applications Wacom Technology Corp. Portland

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Information Services, you will own Wacom’s production SAP environment and global enterprise applications. You will be a hands-on, accountable leader tasked with hardening a reliable and functioning landscape, ensuring that Wacom business is getting the functionality and performance out of the system that they should reasonably expect.
You make sure our enterprise systems run like clockwork, and know how to get an environment tuned up. Managing internal and external resources is deep in your wheelhouse, and you are passionate about driving real value and optimizing our consulting relationships.

Managing Wacom’s enterprise applications means coordinating with and managing stakeholder expectations around integrated systems in an SAP-centric environment, including Enterprise Resource Planning, CRM, Supply Chain Management and HRIS.

The right leader is an engaged player/ coach, very familiar with the technical and organizational challenges in getting an SAP project delivered, but has the technical and interpersonal acumen to help an organization mature its use of a global, integrated ecosystem in production. You are well-versed in the dynamics of a global organization, and can facilitate the prioritization of conflicting business needs to get stakeholders engaged and problems solved.

You are driven to get things done, but apply good process to drive considerable change in a short period of time. You manage commitments, hold people to deliverables, and keep things moving forward.



Key Responsibilities:

In-the-Trenches Leadership. Perform as a global lead, provide hands-on involvement in balancing the needs and challenges of stakeholders across regions, from executives to front-line users. Ensures that direct reports and contracted resources have the necessary clarity of purpose, functional and interpersonal skills, and necessary authority to deliver their services in a timely and effective manner.


Drive Change. Understand and evangelize the changes that are underway. Communicate the drivers for change, as well as the promises of what ongoing changes will deliver. Be the positive force that inspires others.


Align talent and tasks. Build a global team and coordinate a portfolio of resources including staff, contractors, and vendor implementation partners to provide timely and usable solutions. Ensures the available bench of resources are properly tasked to effectively and efficiently deliver value.


Build Business Buy-in. Develop trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders and end users by clarifying needs, managing expectations, and holding involved persons accountable to commitments and timelines.


Put the “steady” in steady-state. Drive global SAP and enterprise applications toward reliability and functional performance by working with business process owners and technical teams to identify issues and requests, agree prioritization, and properly develop solutions to improve the Wacom’s SAP users’ experience (plan, develop, test, deploy).


Harden operational processes. Working in collaboration with our ITIL lead, you will drive adoption and adherence to good practice around requirements gathering as well as problem analysis, solution development and documentation, regression testing, change and release management, and business-user validation.



Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or equivalent business experience, MBA preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in both implementing and supporting an SAP environment
Multiple implementations of SAP, with strong experience across multiple modules and facets (OTC, FICO, P2P, R2R)
Experience managing multiple concurrent releases
Minimum of 2 years managing a SMB organization or large division’s SAP instance in the post-go-live environment, addressing deferred requirements, investigating performance issues, and managing the ongoing evolution of the platform (aka continuous improvement)
Recent experience work with and alongside employees and vendors,
Has lead multiple post-implementation upgrade and regression testing cycles, ensuring that ongoing development and functionality will meet business needs without disrupting the existing operational environment
Outstanding analytical and project management skills.
Excellent capability to prioritize and organize work in a complex environment.
Deep expertise in collaborative solution architecture across process, people, IT, data, Key Performance Indicators, and organizational dimensions
