The Security Evangelist will be a senior level leader in the solutions marketing team who possesses a high degree of passion and expertise to build business through strategy, thought leadership, and sales engagement for Citrix’s unique security value proposition. This role is customer facing and will serve as a subject matter expert and spokesperson at executive forums, customer engagements and provide real-world experience, best practices and product guidance to elevate awareness and differentiate Citrix as a leader in delivering security solutions.
This position may be based in our Santa Clara, CA or Fort Lauderdale, FL HQ offices. Must be able to travel to support customer-facing meetings and events.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
Understand market drivers and customer requirements to advocate and represent Citrix technology solutions and advantages within the security market.
Serve as the Citrix industry expert and spokesperson via executive briefings, industry events, and customer meetings.
Lead security-oriented thought leadership activities, including social media, webinars, podcasts, videos, contributed articles and other press or analyst activity.
Share intelligence about what competitive vendors are doing to address customer security requirements.
Collaborate with product and solutions marketing teams on the creation of sales and marketing materials to market our innovation, infrastructure, architecture, roadmap, applications, and solutions.
Support delivery of sales training and readiness activities for Citrix sales and channel partners.
Advocate for customer requirements as product and platform teams build new releases, products or solutions or look at potential acquisition.
Qualifications:
12+ years of experience in customer-facing marketing, product or sales role within the security market. CISO experience desired.
Strong understanding of enterprise software with relevant experience in virtualization, cloud, networking and mobility solutions a plus.
Knowledge of the following technologies highly desirable:
Encryption related technology (SSL, TLS, PKI, HSM, software cryptographic functions and libraries, full disk encryption).
Mobile security (MDM, encryption, application)
Security products and tools required (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, ATP, application and vulnerability scanning, log management, cloud security)
Authentication systems (IAM, Active Directory, SSO, SAML, federation services, RADIUS, 2-factor)
Cloud security (AWS, Azure)
International regulatory compliance and strong knowledge of security standards including ISO27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, Sarbanes Oxley, EU Privacy Directive, and other regulations and standards
Great public speaking skills and experience with technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company.
Business and technical writing skills.
Self-motivated individual capable of working in a face-paced environment.
