Managing Director Florida & The Carolinas AIG Atlanta

AIG has an exciting opportunity for a leadership role as Managing Director for Florida and the Carolinas with physical location in the Miami, Tampa, Charlotte, or Atlanta. The responsibilities will involve travel and engagement throughout the state of Florida and the Carolinas. The Florida and Carolinas Territory is a critical component of the South Zone growth strategy.

A successful candidate will have proven ability to align and influence internal and external stakeholders, is an effective communicator, has the ability to build commitment, and is tolerant of ambiguity. Key attributes for the role include high energy, creativity, collaboration, strong influential skills, presence, vision, broad insurance knowledge, and willing to travel regularly within the Territory and the South Zone.
Performance Objectives:

• Partner closely with Senior Management, Zonal Executives/ Managers, Underwriters, Sales & Marketing and Functional groups to execute and implement the Global, National, and Zonal distribution and profit center strategies.
• Responsible for production, 'focused growth product' growth, driving assigned stewardship accounts, problem resolution, and overall broker and account management for business and opportunities.
• Achieve target account expansion activity for new business, while maintaining desired retention of enforce. Applicable for corporate and national accounts.
• Develop & implement Commercial Insurance initiatives and strategies for target accounts, cross sell opportunities, including development from alternative distribution.
• Work with BDM’s to assure overall marketing strategies of brokers/producers are executed appropriately and consistently throughout the states.
• Develop relationships with Producers, Client and Account Management Executives/ Managers and Insured Risk Managers or alike.
• Serve as the contact point for Senior Management visits and appointments in the territory as needed.
• Additional responsibilities will include lead for Incident Management Team for the Territory. Occasional operations or administration involvement as necessary.


Position Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:


• Ten years of diverse insurance experience preferred.

• A proven business development background in insurance with existing broker relationships in the branch territory preferred.

• Knowledge of AIG systems/products/services is strongly preferred.

• Strong leadership skills: Collaboration, coordination and coaching. Ability to learn full suite of AIG product offering.

• Account Management skills and experience in successfully building trusting relationships with colleagues, insured’s and brokers.
