Honeywell is seeking top talent for a Global Product Line Director – Optical Sensing for our Richardson (Dallas), TX location, 75081.

The Global Product Line Director – Optical Sensing is responsible for driving global growth and product line performance and profitability including OEM scanning & imaging engines, and decoder software for the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) marketplace.

The Global Product Line Director will lead the Optical Sensing product management team, as well as support Sales, Pricing, MarCom, and Engineering with strategy, competitive analysis, product lifecycle management, marketing materials, and new product development.
YOU WILL:
• Meet and exceed growth & profitability targets for the OEM engine and software product lines; develop next-generation platform strategy
• Lead the development of new products and product line roadmaps, specifically with the development of business cases that include extensive Voice of Customer (VOC) research, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, understanding of sustainable sources of differentiation, and expected financials.
• Develop detailed product launch plans and go-to-market strategy that include customer value propositions, customer- and sales collateral and training
• Work closely with engineering and other functional areas to ensure successful execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects including phase-gate reviews.
• Make price recommendations and submit comprehensive bid responses to RFQ’s, contracts, and special pricing requests to maintain existing business and close new business
• Understand market trends, customer needs, channel dynamics, and competitive focus to help prioritize growth strategies and tactics
• Collaborate with the sales organization to help develop and win new business opportunities
• Share success stories and diagnose/track common failure modes for sales opportunities
• Work with customers and channel to anticipate changes in demand patterns.
• Review product portfolio and provide accurate forecasts to supply chain
• Support Strategic (STRAP) and Annual Operating Planning (AOP) processes
• Support breakthrough growth initiatives, as appropriate
• Travel 25%
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field required
• Minimum 8 years of product marketing experience or related business experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing direct and cross-functional teams/direct reports required

• Prior experience with embedded systems or intelligent sensor platforms
