The Director, Technical Program Management will be based in San Jose, CA. This person will be responsible for leading a team to execute multiple programs for a single key customer, and will ensure execution of these programs across all Flex functional areas to meet the customer requirements. In addition the Director, Program Management will be the primary local customer interface to address issues across operations, design, and supply chain, and will ensure excellent customer service across all programs.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
Manage customer relationship on a Global basis and will act as the first escalation point globally for all product programs, projects and operational performance issues.
Ensure collaborative cross-functional teamwork to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control all phases of the customer programs from RFQ through development, NPI, and ramp to stable production.
Ensure effective two-way communications between Customer and Flextronics design & manufacturing sites.
Provide the necessary leadership and support to site Program & Project Managers (design, NPI, operations, etc) to ensure programs are executed to plans and customer issues are handled properly.
Together with Global Account Manager, drive account strategy for future business growth and continuous improvement in account financial performance.
Participate in quarterly business reviews with the customer.
Ensure all programs and project teams adhere to the Flextronics Product Life Cycle Process (FPLC) process.
Be responsive to customer requests and ensure high Customer Satisfaction. Ensure effective and timely corrective action of any performance and customer service related issues.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…
15+ ears experience in a Program/Project Management or leadership role.
Engineering degree required.
Previous experience working within the Server, Storage, Networking or Wireless domain.
Program management experience on ODM or JDM programs, including deep experience working with design centers.
Strong customer and PM experience with Tier 1 OEMs.
Comprehensive understanding of product development, from design to NPI to supply chain to manufacturing operations.
Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization, both at customer & Flex.
Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail. Ability to dig deep into issues when needed.
Experience managing commercial issues (price, contract terms, cost recovery claims, etc.)
