We are seeking an experienced hands-on Director of Systems Engineering, who will provide leadership, technical expertise and vision for the development of the ARTIK IoT platform. ARTIK end-to-end platform is comprised of hardware modules (Wif-Fi, Thread, BLE/BT, Zigbee), firmware and middleware, could services, iOS and Android integration and end to end security stack.
The successful candidate will implement new best-in-class practices for translating customer requirements into system and subsystem requirements, architecting the design, and prototyping and integrating the results into our platform with close partnership with product management and HW/SW engineering teams.
Develop system and subsystem design and architecture across the SoC to Cloud stack
Lead the development of prototyping of new potential additions to the platform on HW, device SW and Cloud
Take ARTIK systems engineering team to the next level in terms of talent, process and productivity
Lead engineering activities in the system engineering team including HW development and SW development
Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer science, Electrical Engineering required, MS preferred
12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in systems engineering, full stack product engineering
Full stack hands-on knowledge: Strong competency in FW, SW and Cloud and good understanding of HW
Self managed and team player
Good understanding of IoT wireless connectivity enabling technologies including Wi-Fi, Thread, BLE, Bluetooth and Zigbee
Prior experience with agile product development, QA, products release
Preferred Qualifications
Good exposure to full stack security technologies including HW root of trust, D/TLS, OAuth2, PKI
You consider yourself a “maker”; you love to get your hands dirty by both assembling and dissembling things to understand how they work
Experiences shipping IoT products, including devices and services
